Smithtown Police Blotter: Man Steals Vacuums From Target

The man had previously been banned from the store, police say.

SMITHTOWN, NY — Curious about what's going on in your neighborhood? These are recent incidents reported in the Smithtown area from March 10 through March 16.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

  • March 13: Jaydin Shuck, 19, of Selden, stole two Dyson vacuums from Target, at 98 Veterans Memorial Highway, Commack, around 9:50 p.m. Jan. 12, police said. Shuck had previously signed a no-trespass notice at the store, police said. He was arrested and charged with third-degree burglary: illegal entry with intent to commit a crime and fourth-degree grand larceny: value of property more than $1,000, police said.
