  2. Lynne C. Nowick, Councilman, Town of Smithtown. Nowick is seeking her third term on the Town Board. She also is running on the Conservative Party line. Prior to her election, the St. James resident served 12 years in the Suffolk County Legislature representing the 13th District. Before that, she was Smithtown tax receiver for six years. (Newsday)
  3. Call for Artists: 60th Long Island Artists Exhibition at the Art League of Long Island. The exhibition is now a biennial event and will be on view in the Art League’s spacious Jeanie Tengelsen Gallery Dec. 4 - Jan. 21, 2022. The deadline to submit applications is Friday, Nov. 5. Entry for each artist is limited to five works not previously exhibited in the Art League of Long Island’s gallery, one of which may be chosen from among submissions by the exhibition juror. Two and three-dimensional original work in any medium may be submitted, including photography and fine craft, with the exception of videos. (The Island Now)
