The Week Ahead: Wing Eating Contest, Family Festival and More

A Time for Kids
This Mommy & Me Tiny Tot Discovery Program is offered by the Smithtown Recreation Department as aΒ firstΒ developmental step towards preschool and/or nursery school readiness.Β 

One-hour classes are offeredΒ on MondayΒ or Wednesday mornings in July and August, one day a week forΒ fourΒ consecutive weeks per session, at the Smithtown Landing CountryΒ Club.

CPR Certification Class
John Joseph Custom Pools is hostingΒ an Adult & Child CPR Certification ClassΒ All are welcome. However, age 10 and over is recommended.

DDI Employment Open House
Developmental Disabilities Institute, on Hollywood Drive in Smithtown,Β is hosting an Employment Open HouseΒ onΒ Wednesday from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Wing Eating Contest
Head down to Del Fuego North in St. JamesΒ Wednesday at 6 p.m.
for their first annual wing eating contest. Kids can participate too. Cash prizes awarded, t-shirt for participants.Β 

Grand Re-Opening of the Richard H. Handley Collection of Long Island Americana
The evening’s program will include an overview of the collection’s history and also an opportunity to view some of the collection’s most remarkable highlights. Smithtown Town Historian, Brad Harris will be the featured speaker. Wednesday, 7 p.m.

Sts. Philip & James Family Festival
Rides, games prizes and festival foods can all be found at the family festival. Thursday, 6 p.m.-10 p.m.
