Wegmans Supermarket Could Open In Lake Grove In 2024
Wegmans is set to begin building its first Long Island supermarket next year.
LAKE GROVE, NY — Wegmans could open its first Long Island supermarket Lake Grove in 2024.
The supermarket franchise anticipates it will close on the property, at the corner of Middle County Road and Moriches Road, sometime in spring, a spokesperson for Wegmans told Patch. The developer has work to complete on the site before the chain can close on the property.
Once Wegmans closes on the property, it will begin a construction process that usually lasts a year, according to the spokesperson.

"We are looking forward to opening our first store on Long Island," Wegmans stated.
Wegmans is a supermarket franchise founded in Rochester in 1916. It has since opened 110 stores.
