  1. The wild cat spotted in Central Islip this week was rescued and taken to the Sweetbriar Nature Center in Smithtown. According to the rescuers, the animal was caught on Hawthorne Avenue in Central Islip. (LI News12)
  2. A carnival is coming our way on Aug. 18-21. The Parish of St. Joseph in Kings Park will host the events offering rides, raffles, music, and more from 6-10 p.m. (Smithtown Matters)
  3. Police are searching for two suspects responsible for a theft at the Ulta Beauty store located at 78 Veterans Memorial Highway in Commack. The pair stole $4,200 worth of merchandise on June 2 and fled in a white Honda SUV. (TBR News Media)
