- Michelle Krupa, 55, claims the Guide Dog Foundation in Smithtown Campus is responsible for leaving her 3-year-old guide dog, Milton, in a hot car that caused him to die. According to Krupa, she dropped Milton off at the campus for a special training session on July 7, and the incident happened weeks later during the heat wave that hit Long Island. (Audacy News)
- Police are asking the public's help to identify and locate a trio responsible for stealing a wallet at the Trader Joe's supermarket in Lake Grove. After committing the theft, the suspects went to Smith Haven Mall and made a $4,000 purchase at the Apple Store. (Patch)
- The Annual Pizza Box Project is at full speed! The Town of Smithtown Horizons Counseling and Education Center created the campaign. Volunteer teenagers handed stickers for take-out pizza boxes at local pizzerias with messages to prevent selling alcohol to underage individuals. " (Patch)
