Banana Republic Closes After 2 Decades in Bridgehampton
New tenant has not been announced yet.

Any signs of Banana Republic in the Bridgehampton Commons were gone just a few days after the clothing store closed up shop this week.
Banana Republic leased a space in the outdoor shopping mall on Montauk Highway since August 1992, according to Jeannine Bruin, a spokeswoman for Kimco Realty.
It was located near Salty Home and King Kullen.
A spokesperson for Gap Inc., which owns Banana Republic, could not be reached.
A Banana Republic on Main Street in East Hampton Village closed a number of years back. The closest Banana Republic to the South Fork is in the Tanger Outlets Mall in Riverhead.Â
Asked if rumors were true that a pet store was moving into the corner space on the west side of the property, Bruin declined to say.
"Kimco is in active discussions with a strong replacement tenant, but we are not ready to announce anything at this time," she said.
The Commons includes major stores like the Gap, Victoria's Secret, Williams Sonoma, Staples, American Eagle, Kmart, and TJ Maxx.
Dunkin' Donuts recently opened up in the shopping plaza over the summer.
Kimco Realty has one other, smaller, space available to rent on the other side of the mall, in between The Retreat Thrift Shop and Hudson City Savings Bank.
