Local Dentist Wants Your Halloween Candy

The Hampton Dental Group is once again offering cash for your kids' Halloween candy.

In an effort to keep children's teeth free of cavities the Hampton Dental Group of Southampton is once again offering cash for candy through a program, called, Halloween Candy Buy-Back.

Through the program, children can bring their un-opened Halloween candy to 325 Meeting House Lane, Building 2 on Nov. 1, 4 and 5 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. and in return receive $1 for every pound traded and a toothbrush.

“Ditch the candy, that’s what we’re saying. Visiting your dentist twice a year and brushing daily are great preventative measures, but doing away with excess sweets altogether would really give your teeth a healthy boost,” says Dr. Gary Manowitz and Dr. Brian Park.

All of the candy, said Manowitz and Park will be shipped to soldiers overseas.

In addition, the dental group is looking to send some of the candy directly to local service men and women serving oversees and is asking for addresses of those military personnel.
