On Mother's Day We Celebrate "The Gift is You"
My twin friends, Will and Anthony Nunziata's song "The Gift is You" makes me recall my mom's best times in the Hamptons.

On Mother's Day we publicly proclaim what we know is true every day, that is, we love our mothers. We may on occasion battle them, disagree with them, but at the end of the day your mom is who is always on your side. The magic and the creation of your life started in her womb.
My mom is now gone. She suffered some at the end battling lung cancer. She used Montauk as her silver bullet buying a time share at Gurney's so she could lay in bed and listen to the mighty Atlantic Ocean while she read, sometimes articles by me in Dan's Papers and the Montauk Pioneer. My mom had a strong will that I write. To this day I guess everything I write is in her honor and memory.
That is why when I heard Will and Anthony Nunziata's song , "The Gift is You," I decided to write this post for Mother's Day. Will and Anthony Nunziata are the sons of Joe and Fran Nunziata. I have know Fran since we were on the same swim team starting around age nine. I sat at her table at her junior prom while escorting one Linda LoPinto to the all girls' school prom. When I was informed of her battle with cancer it pierced me as such cancer news does. To celebrate her remission, the twins wrote the song, "The Gift is You"

and performed it during the Christmas Spectacular at Carnegie Hall in NYC that they actually headlined. I was there and the boys actually said, "Hello, T.J." from the Carnegie Hall Stage. Fran and Joe were there that night, too.
If you listen to this song, "The Gift is You," besides hearing the talent Will and Anthony Nunziata have you also feel the love they have for their mom. Listening to them sing this song will make you want to hug your mom. I can't now, but I did when I could. Believe it or not, when the twins were very young I believe they played a little social tennis doubles with my mom. As they became older in their teens they defeated me in singles and doubles tennis matches at the club. They are already playing all over the world. Check them out.
