Police Vow To Be 'Extra Vigilant' To Ensure County Road 39 Safety

Motorists can expect to see increased vehicle and traffic enforcement efforts, police say.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — Southampton town police are set to crack down on speeding cars and dangerous driving on County Road 39.

According to a message from Southampton Town Police Chief James Kiernan, in an effort to keep communities safe and reduce motor vehicle crashes, police will be "extra vigilant" in efforts to reduce speed and dangerous driving throughout the township, especially onCounty Road 39 and in residential areas.

"We are answering the community’s requests to increase vehicle and traffic enforcement. We hope these efforts will enhance safe travel along County Road 39 as well as protect the residents in our neighborhoods, especially during the school pick up and drop off hours," he said.
