Senior advocates headed to South Fork to address issues
Suffolk County Legislator Bridget Fleming will join the advocate on Friday, January 22 at the Rogers Memorial Library.

Seniors in Southampton will soon have an advocate onhand to help with pressing issues.
Lislator Bridget Fleming announced recently that the Suffolk County Office for the Aging will be sending out a senior advocate to locations on the South Fork during the month of January.
“We are pleased to be able to provide critical information and services to our respected elderly community,” Fleming said. “We are here to help with whatever issues may arise for seniors.”

Senior advocates travel throughout the county providing senior citizens access to services such as senior information and referral, senior ID cards, case management, guiding older individuals to needed services, and assistance with applications for benefit programs.
Through contracts with municipal and community-based agencies, the office also administers a variety of programs such as transportation, home care, respite, home-delivered meals, and nutrition programs.

Legislator Fleming expects to accompany the advocate on Friday, January 22 at the Rogers Memorial Library in Southampton.
