Here are the top stories in Southampton today:

  1. Colin Taylor, 23, a Sag Harbor man, was arrested and charged with misdemeanor DWI, police said. According to Southampton Town police, at 1:10 a.m., Sunday, a report came in about a car fire at Old Sag Harbor Road and Millstone Road in Bridgehampton. Taylor, driving while intoxicated, crashed into a tree causing his vehicle to catch fire, police said. (Patch)
  2. Police said two people were arrested and charged after they were found drinking at a Northampton beach while in possession of cocaine; a digital scale was also found. On Saturday, Ronald Vinicio Espino-Borja, 31, and Ines Orellana-DeLopez 28, were arrested for drinking an alcoholic beverage at Wildwood Lake bathing beach, a violation of Southampton town code, and for possession of cocaine. Orellana-DeLopez was released on her own recognizance for future arraignment, police said. (Patch)
  3. Oscar Kleber Valencia-Vega, 34, a Hampton Bays man, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, resisting arrest, and fleeing from an officer, police said. On April 20 at 1:29 a.m., Valencia-Vega was seen failing to maintain his lane as he headed west on Flying Point Road near Bowers Lane. After fleeing the scene, Valencia-Vega turned himself in at Southampton Town police headquarters, police said. (Southampton Patch)
