1. Honor Flight Long Island, a volunteer-run veterans’ organization, announced it will resume biannual flights to Washington, D.C. The first flight scheduled for Saturday, June 4, will take 40 United States veterans, including 37 Vietnam War veterans who will receive long overdue recognition and thanks for their service. (Southampton Patch)
2. Christie Defeo, 53, a Patchogue resident, was seen speeding on Country Road 51. Defeo was charged with driving while intoxicated and speeding in Northampton Friday, at 7:07 p.m., police said. (Patch)
3. At the annual Brookhaven Chambers of Commerce Coalition’s Outstanding Member of the Year Awards Reception, "Stony Brook Medicine was among those recognized for its tremendous contributions to the community, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic." Stony Brook Hospital was a vital resource for health information and services and housed vaccination and drive-through coronavirus testing sites. (Stony Brook News)
