The Trashed Hamptons Airbnb Mansion Saga, Round Two

Now the Wall Street hedge funder is telling his side of the story.

Southampton, NY — The saga of #sprayathon lives on.

Earlier this month, Wall Street hedge fund portfolio manager Brett Barna lost his job after he rented a Bridgehampton mansion through Airbnb and the owner claimed the place was trashed during Barna’s wild party, dubbed #sprayathon on social media.

Homeowner Omar Amanat said he wanted to sue Barna — but now Barna is speaking out.

Barna appeared on Fox’s morning news show Good Day New York, hosted by Hamptonite Rosanna Scotto and Greg Kelly, on Tuesday to give his side of the story.

He alleged on the show that while he threw the party for a charity, Last Chance Animal Rescue, he didn't trash the house, and now the homeowner is trying to get money from him.

Ironically the owner is involved in his own controversy, according to CNBC: On July 13 he was arrested on fraud charges not related to the Hamptons airbnb situation.

Barna said on Good Day New York that Amanat is trying to “shake” him down.
