Village Police: Marijuana Laced with Cocaine Leads To Arrest for Southampton Man
Police were called to assist with an aided case when they noticed a man smoking a blunt, they said.

The following information was supplied by the Southampton Village Police Department on Jan. 7. A criminal charge is only an accusation and does not indicate guilt.
• Charles Bowens Jr., 40, of Southampton, was arrested on drug charges on Jan. 4 at about noon. Officers were called to 295 North Sea Road to assist the Southampton Village Volunteer Ambulance with an aided case. While in the area, officers observed Bowens smoking a “blunt”of marijuana laced with cocaine. Police then found Bowens was in possession of a cocaine and marijuana. He was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree, a felony, criminal possession of marijuana in the fifth degree, a misdemeanor, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. He was held without bail at the Suffolk County jail.
• A 36-year-old Southampton man was arrested on a charge of petty larceny, a misdemeanor, after he allegedly stole $500 in-store coupons at CVS and then used the coupons for store purchases on Dec. 20. He was arrested at 5:53 p.m.
