Woman Found With Drugs In Vehicle After Sagaponack Crash: PD

She fled the scene and was found to be driving with a suspended license, police say.

SAGAPONACK, NY — A Bay Shore woman is facing felony charges after drugs were found in her vehicle following a Sagaponack crash Thursday, police said.

According to Southampton Town police, the vehicle was located on Main Street in Sagaponack.

Corinne Maldonado, 36, had a suspended license, police said. In addition, she was found with a quantity of illegal drugs and paraphernalia inside the vehicle, police said.

She was arrested and charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor; fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony; third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony; second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor; leaving the scene of a crash with property damage, an infraction; and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, an Infraction, police said.

Maldonado was transported to police headquarters for processing, where she was held for arraignment, police said.
