Readers' Choice: Where to Spend St. Patrick's Day

If we're forgetting your favorite place, please let us know in the comments and we'll add it to our list.

Whether you attend Mass or enjoy traditional Irish food and drink, chances are you have a favorite local place to celebrate St. Patrick's Day.

A good church service, an exciting parade, a glass of green beer, a slice of Irish soda bread or a perfectly poured Guiness — these are just some of the things that the Irish (and others) look forward to every March 17. The day is meant to celebrate Saint Patrick, the most commonly recognized of the patron saints of Ireland. It is considered the largest saint's day celebration in the world.

So, where do you go dressed in green to celebrate your Irish heritage, or to pretend "to be Irish for a day"?
