Severe Thunderstorm Watch Issued For Parts Of Hudson Valley

The National Weather Service said there could be thunderstorms capable of producing damaging winds or hail.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Parts of the Hudson Valley could be seeing severe weather Thursday.

The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Columbia, Dutchess, Putnam and Ulster counties.

The watch is in effect until 8 p.m. Thursday.

Besides the heat advisory, with temperatures ranging from 90 degrees to 100 in spots, there could be thunderstorms capable of producing damaging winds or hail as they move west to east across the area.
