BAY RIDGE, BROOKLYN — Police are looking for a man who may be connected to the Sept. 29 murder of Bay Ridge resident Jennifer Cohen.
Cohen, 35, was found by a jogger shortly after 9 a.m. that day inside Owl's Head Park, near the intersection of Colonial Road and Wakeman Place, police said.
She was unconscious with trauma to her head and face, police said, and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The department ruled the death a homicide on Sept. 30.
Citing unnamed sources, the New York Daily News reported that a purse found near Cohen's body held needles and condoms, adding that the victim had about two-dozen prior arrests, primarily "for drug possession and petty larceny."
On Sunday, the NYPD released surveillance footage showing Cohen walking south on 2nd Avenue with a man (pictured above) at about 2:45 a.m. on the morning of her death.
