Tractor-Trailer Overturns, Shutting All Lanes On L.I.E.

SYOSSET, NY — An overturned 18-wheeler shut down the Long Island Expressway near the Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway on Monday afternoon, Nassau police said.

The truck overturned at 1:50 p.m., causing one minor injury, police said.

All eastbound lanes of the L.I.E. were closed to traffic by Exit 44 for the Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway for more than two hours, police said. Only the HOV lane was open.
