Brookville House Fire Leaves Woman In Critical Condition
More than 10 departments responded to the blaze, which left one woman in critical condition.

BROOKVILLE, NY — A house fire in Brookville has left one woman in critical condition.
The Jericho Volunteer Fire Department responded to a blaze on Brookville Road around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday morning. Firefighters found heavy smoke coming from a three-story house.
More than 10 departments responded to the blaze, and multiple rehab units assisted the firefighters battling both the fire and the hot temperatures. The fire appears to have begun on the lower level of the house, before moving to the first floor when a third alarm was set off.

The woman had been pulled out of the fire by family members. She sufferer severe burns and was taken to Nassau University Medical Center in critical condition.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
