Childrens' Orchestra Director 'Motivates In Fun, Challenging Way'

SYOSSET, NY — Without community leaders, Syosset wouldn’t hum along nearly as smoothly as it does. We’d miss their contributions in big and small ways.

Patch has partnered with T-Mobile to recognize these often unsung community leaders and celebrate their contributions. This submission comes from Dr. Yeou-Cheng Ma, who nominated Michael Dadap, the artistic and Music Director of the Children’s Orchestra.

What does this community leader do? He inspires young people to love music and motivates them to pursue their studies in a fun and challenging way.

Why do you believe the community leader should be recognized or honored? He has worked for decades in teaching and inspiring youth of all cultures, and is a strong advocate for preserving the music of his home country, the Philippines.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the community hero? He always has a sense of humor, No matter how hard the challenges in his life.
