SYOSSET, NY — A Nassau County businessman is getting recognized for his altruism by the American Cancer Society (ACS). As part of the organization's summer fundraising event, Syosset resident Marty Glick, has been named one of this year's honorees.

Glick, executive vice president of divisional sales at National Convenience Distributors, has been an active supporter of the ACS for a decade.

"Marty's compassionate spirit is evident in his willingness to volunteer, raise donations, and spread awareness for causes close to his heart. Despite his sarcastic sense of humor, which adds a unique charm to his personality, Marty's empathy and genuine concern for others shines through," the American Cancer Society said in a statement.
