“Isaih Giles, an approximately six-foot-seven, 265-pound man, allegedly forced his way into the victim’s hotel room and demanded money. When she did not comply, the defendant allegedly strangled the victim, violently raped her, took her money and jewelry, and fled,” said Nassau District Attorney Anne Donnelly.
According to Donnelly, on April 22, 2021, Giles was at a Days Inn on Jerich Turnpike in Woodbury. He put his foot in the door of the victim to stop her from closing it, then entered her room and demanded money and jewelry, Donnelly said. When the woman refused, Donnelly said he strangled her, forced her to commit sexual acts and raped her. Donnelly said Giles also stole money and jewelry from the woman.
