Nassau Police Name Most Dangerous Intersections
Some intersections have seen more than 100 crashes. Police are stepping up enforcement in these areas as well.
NASSAU COUNTY, NY — Some Long Island intersections are more dangerous than others. The Nassau County Police Department wants residents to know where those dangerous intersections are, and to be more cautious when driving there.
The department just released its list of the 10 intersections with the highest number of crashes. All of the intersections are where local roads meet the Long Island Expressway and its service roads, the NCPD said.
And, as the new year begins, police will be stepping up traffic enforcement at these intersections to help reduce the number of crashes.
