Outdoor Ice Skating Rinks Will Open Next Week In Oyster Bay

Sharpen those skates: The outdoor rinks will open on Nov. 28 in two parks in the Town of Oyster Bay.

SYOSSET, NY — The Town of Oyster Bay's outdoor ice skating rinks at Marjorie R. Post and Syosset-Woodbury Community Parks will officially open for the season on Nov. 28.

Oyster Bay Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino and Councilman Andrew Monteleone announced the opening of the ice skating rinks, and the rinks will be open until March 1st.

“Ice skating is a fun activity for families and residents of all ages to enjoy, especially during the holiday season," Councilman Monteleone said. "The town’s outdoor ice rinks provide the perfect setting to take in the wonderful winter atmosphere."

There will be public skating sessions available at both outdoor rinks. For folks who would like to stay indoors, the Town of Oyster Bay Ice Skating Center is open year-round at 1001 Stewart Ave. in Bethpage. More information about schedules, fees, and Town rink programs can be found online.
