Prophet Muhammad (peace be on him): A Blessed Leader For All
Let's learn more about the Prophet Muhammad, founder of Islam.
Throughout history, many inspirational leaders including prophets have fulfilled their duties to guide humanity in the midst of despair. An example of an excellent leader is the founder of Islam, Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). He not only promoted the Unity of God, but also taught his followers to abide by righteous morals and perform good deeds that can strengthen one’s character. Annually, my local mosque holds a special event where members, including non-Muslim guests, can learn more about the Prophet Muhammad and how they can strive to live up to his values. He emphasized that we should treat each other equally and uphold justice, even if our beliefs are different from one another. His Holiness Mirza Masroor Ahmad, the worldwide spiritual leader of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, noted in one of his addresses that, “The Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be on him) proclaimed that an Arab is not superior to a non-Arab nor is a non-Arab superior to an Arab, and that a white person is not superior to a black person nor a black person to a white person.”
As an Ahmadi Muslim, I am grateful to be following in the footsteps of the Prophet Muhammad by pondering over his shining example and words of wisdom. Hence, I read the biography of the Prophet Muhammad and decided to take notes so that I can reflect upon how I can implement his teachings into my life. For example, I volunteered in various settings such as tutoring students from less affluent school districts or supporting children with special needs. These opportunities infuse me with the motivation to help others by sacrificing my time and demonstrating my passion to perform good deeds. Also, I developed more trust in God by following the Prophet Muhammad not only because he firmly believed in Him but how he demonstrated his love for God. Overall, I believe that inspirational leaders such as the Prophet Muhammad open up the gates that lead us to construct our own identities.
