Railroad Repairs In Syosset To Cause Street, Tracks Delays
The construction takes place at the Syosset-Woodbury Road crossing.

SYOSSET, NY — More repairs are planned at the Syosset-Woodbury Road crossing.
Weather permitting, railroad work will take place from 8:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13 to 5 a.m. Monday, Dec. 16, Nassau County Legislature Deputy Minority Leader Arnold Drucker said.
The repairs are expected to close Syosset-Woodbury Road between Arizona Avenue and Jerome Road.

"Syosset’s LIRR station is a center of commerce for our community and a major hub for thousands of commuters on a daily basis," Drucker (D-Plainview) said. "My office will be closely monitoring this project to ensure it is finished expeditiously."

Officials said electronic signs have been placed at the crossing to alert drivers, and MTA police will be deployed to the site. Motorists are encouraged to use South Woods Road and Jackson Avenue as alternatives while work is in progress.
