Senior Citizen Day Coming To Syosset-Woodbury Park

Seniors will be able to enjoy music, dancing and more at this free event.

SYOSSET, NY — The Town of Oyster Bay will be holding a 'Senior Citizen Day' event at Syosset-Woodbury Community Park on Aug. 19. Line dancing, music, games and refreshments are just some of the activities seniors can enjoy. Registration must be completed in advance for those who wish to attend.

"My administration has always put our seniors first and I am proud that we can host events for our senior residents to participate in these free activities, where they can enjoy the company of others, make new friends, and stay active and engaged," said Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino .

The following programs will be offered as part of 2021 Senior Day:

  • Line Dancing with Fran: 10 a.m.
  • Music with John Walters: 11:15 a.m.
  • St. Francis Outreach Van: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

In addition to the recreational activities, St. Francis will have an outreach van at the event from, offering seniors the chance to utilize their services.
