Stop & Shop Launches First Pickup Pod in Woodbury, New York

Stop & Shop today announced that it has launched the brand’s first ever Pickup Pod at its Woodbury, NY, store on 8101 Jericho Turnpike. The Pickup Pod provides local customers with a faster and more convenient way to shop with pickup available in as little as two hours. Customers place their order online, park at one of the designated pickup parking spots, walk to the Self-Service pickup pod unit adjacent to the store, scan their personalized QR code which is sent 15 minutes prior to their pickup time, and then easily collect their items.

The Pickup Pod offers the same selection as in the store, and Woodbury customers can enjoy this convenient new technology when they place a pickup order online at StopandShop.com or on the Stop & Shop mobile app. The Pickup Pod also has three temperature-controlled storage units - shelf stable, refrigerated, and frozen - keeping all items fresh and safe at the proper temperature.
