State-backed funding and a design team emphasizing MWBE and veteran-owned firms aim to create a modern, resilient facility that can handle Central New York’s growing health-care needs for decades.
   

2. Syracuse University Whitman School senior dies (dailyorange.com) — Syracuse residents and the campus community are mourning Syracuse University senior Kayla Corrigan, a Whitman School marketing student who died Wednesday in a house fire. University leaders urged students to support one another and highlighted 24-hour counseling and outreach services available through the Barnes Center, Dean of Students, Hendricks Chapel and other campus resources.
