Early AM Crash, Flooding Snarls 3 Parkways In Westchester
They re-opened before dawn.
WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — A roll-over crash on the Saw Mill River Parkway and flooding on the Bronx River Parkway and the Hutchinson River Parkway kept police busy early Tuesday morning.
Sections of the BRP and the Hutch became impassable at about 5 a.m. due to heavy rain, but have been re-opened.
At 5 a.m. Bronx River Parkway southbound at Chatterton and Main Street was in the process of flooding. The Hutch was impassable southbound at East Lincoln and northbound at Mill Road.

At 6 a.m. the Hutchinson River and Bronx River Parkway were re-opened after all flooding was corrected, Westchester police said.
Slick conditions may have caused the crash at 4 a.m. in Hastings when a car left the southbound Saw Mill, flipped over and landed in the woods and brush near the Farragut Avenue exit, News 12 reported. The two people in the car were not badly injured, News 12 said.
