Greenburgh Broadcasts 9/11 Local Stories, Comes Together To Remember
The town will remember the victims of the 9-11 attacks on Wednesday at the Gerard J. Byrne Center, in Veteran Town Park.

GREENBURGH, NY — The Town of Greenburgh will broadcast non-stop living history interviews with residents who had a 9-11 connection starting Tuesday evening through Wednesday night.
The town will also remember the victims of the 9-11 attacks Wednesday morning at the Gerard J. Byrne Center, in Veteran Town Park, at 9:30 a.m.
"It's been 23 years since 9-11. None of the students who are currently enrolled in any public or private school in Greenburgh was alive on 9-11," Greenburgh Town Supervisor Paul Feiner said in a statement. "To encourage those who were not alive to have a better appreciation of this tragic day the town is broadcasting 9-11 stories from Greenburgh residents on September 11th from Tuesday evening to Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. on Optimum channel 76 and Verizon channel 35."

Over the past few years, the town's 9/11 committee has been interviewing residents who were at Ground Zero on the morning of September 11, 2001, or whose lives were impacted by the horrors of that day.
