Kitten In A Precarious Predicament Gets A Helping Hand From Police
Thanks to a conscientious motorist, Greenburgh's finest helped rescue a curious cat from a tight squeeze.

GREENBURGH, NY — An alert motorist helped Greenburgh police officers save a frightened kitten from certain disaster.
On Thursday, members of the Greenburgh Police Department were called to assist a driver in the BJ's parking lot who believed there was a cat trapped somewhere within the engine compartment of their car. Initially, police did not hear or see a cat, but determined to locate the animal, officers were finally able to get the cat to meow, revealing its location, police said.
It turns out the frightened kitten was trapped in the wheel well of the car.

Officers cautiously accessed the wheel well and were able to rescue the mischievous kitten.
Police report that the kitten appeared uninjured and in good health. The frisky feline was taken to the Humane Society of Westchester, where it is recovering from the excitement.
