Calvin enjoyed playing with the Drum Corp in parades at many locations in New York. He worked as a security guard, correction officer and paramedic. He was most proud of his work as a Volunteer Firefighter at the Senate H & L. He obtained a degree in information technology (IT) shortly after the birth of his son at Kaiser University.

Calvin married Ramona in March of 2011 in Clearwater, Florida. Just a few months later, his son Gage was born. Together they built a life, navigating the challenges and celebrating the victories as a family. Calvin shared his love of airplanes with his family, often attending air shows in the Central Florida area. Together Calvin and Gage would work on projects, fixing household mishaps and maintaining the yard. Calvin earned the title of “Daddy fix-it”.

His scout family knew he was dependable and methodical. Calvin was known for his ability to fix things, build campfires and five a.m. coffee.
