Phone Theft Spans Village Police Departments
A student reported his phone stolen at Sleepy Hollow's Middle School but couldn't locate it when the GPS pointed to Tarrytown.

An iPhone that was allegedly stolen in Sleepy Hollow made its way to Tarrytown, but both police and the owner couldn't track it down further.
On Dec. 6 at 5:07 p.m., a Tarrytown officer reported being flagged down by someone who reported his son’s cell phone had been stolen earlier that day from his locker at Sleepy Hollow Middle School. The phone’s GPS indicated it was now in the area of Main Street and Windle Park. The officer was unable to pinpoint the exact location of the phone and the incident was noted for the record.
The next day, at 10:17 a.m., the boy's mother came into Sleepy Hollow headquarters to file a report on the theft, since the school grounds fall in Sleepy Hollow's district.
