Police: Unlicensed Drunk Driver Runs into Tarrytown Guardrail

Sleepy Hollow Police reported to Tarrytown police a car had struck a guard rail on Neperan Road. 

Tarrytown police responded to where SHPD found the driver on Wilson Park Drive on Dec. 24 at 5:10 p.m.

They arrested the 25-year-old Sleepy Hollow resident for driving while intoxicated. 

The car was towed, while officers reported no damage to the guard rail. 

The driver was found to be unlicensed with a suspended Class D permit. He consented to a breathalyzer test which gave a positive DWI reading. 

The defendant was charged with:

  • Operating a vehicle with a BAC .08 or higher, first offense, 
  • driving while intoxicated, 
  • operating without a license, 
  • and aggravated unlicensed in the third degree. 
He was released to a responsible person with a return court date.
