Reflective Bracelets To Be Distributed In Greenburgh
The giveaway is part of the "Be Seen Greenburgh!" initiative to increase pedestrian safety awareness.

GREENBURGH, NY — Reflective slap bracelets are being given out in Greenburgh for free.
To increase pedestrian safety awareness, the “Be Seen Greenburgh!” initiative will see the distribution of more than 15,000 highly visible reflective slap bracelets to the community.
Town officials said they encourage everyone to wear something reflective when outside after dark.

“Sadly, there have been pedestrian fatalities in the region because motorists have not seen pedestrians walking at night,” said Supervisor Paul Feiner.
The town said White Plains Hospital, its first partner in safety, donated 5,000 bracelets. Phelps Hospital has ordered reflectors which will also be distributed.

Slap bracelets are available to the public at the Greenburgh Police Department, Greenburgh Town Hall, Theodore Young Community Center and Greenburgh Public Library.
