Shimsky Leads Valente In Race For Assembly District 92
Democrat MaryJane Shimsky and Republican Carlo Valente were vying to represent NY Assembly District 92.

GREENBURGH, NY — MaryJane Shimsky, a Democrat, is maintaining a substantial lead over Carlo Valente, a Republican, for the 92nd Assembly District. As of 11:45 p.m., Shimsky has 23,132 votes to Valente's 13,531 votes, with 118 of 127 election districts reporting.
The state Board of Elections unofficial numbers give Shimsky 60 percent of the vote and Valente 35 percent.
Shimsky, who lives in Dobbs Ferry, is serving her sixth full term as a Westchester County legislator. She was elected majority leader during 2020-21 session, after being majority whip during the 2018-19 and 2012-13 sessions

Valente lives in Mount Pleasant and is a contractor and building inspector.
