Sleepy Hollow Police Make Felony DWI Arrest

A Briarcliff Manor woman was allegedly found asleep in her car in the roadway on Dec. 5.

Sleepy Hollow officers reported finding a woman asleep in her car in the roadway on Teresa Street at Beekman Avenue on Dec. 5 at 11:50 p.m.

Police arrested Nazish Rhaman, 25, of Briarcliff Manor, on a charge of driving while intoxicated. Stiloski’s Towing was called in to tow the car.

Police Chief Gregory Camp said this was the second DWI charge for Rhaman within a 10 year period, thus meriting a felony charge.

A first offense DWI is considered a misdemeanor punishable by fine and possibly up to one year in county jail. If convicted a DWI felony charge can mean up to four years in state prison.
