Cactus Salon Delivers Makeovers for Military Women

Stony Brook salon helped through the organization Shining Service Worldwide, which helps women adjust from the military life back into normal, everyday life.

On Monday, military wives and women who are former members of military organizations received a special treat: makeovers at Cactus Salon in Stony Brook and a celebratory lunch at TGI Friday's in Lake Grove.

The event was facilitated by the organization Shining Service Worldwide, a charity that helps military women re-integrate into society after their service is complete.

"This event reminds us of women who have given much to their country and deserve help as they transition to full, happy lives. These ladies of the military family deserve our continued thanks for everything they do, not just in March for Women's History month, but throughout the year," the organization said in a statement.
