Comments: Delayed School Opening Was the Right Move
Readers weighed in on Facebook on Friday.

With a few inches of snow on the ground Friday morning, the Three Village Central School District announced a two-hour delayed opening. With the fact in mind that the district has no more snow days – and has yet to fully make up for time lost during the February blizzard – Patch readers called the delay the right move.
"I think if we had snow days left, today would have been canceled but with them already taking a day from spring break and the religious holidays that week, they are doing what they can not to do that!" Lynn Pozmanter said via Facebook.
More than 20 readers agreed via the Three Village Patch Facebook page that school officials made the right choice.

"The 2 hour delay opening was reasonable. However if the school knows a bus route is even further delayed because of mechanical problems maybe then let us parents know. A voice blast or email would be nice," David Bitman wrote.
"Better to go in late and get credit for the day," James Saccardi wrote.

However, at least one reader thought school should have been closed due to the conditions of the roads in various neighborhoods. "In as much as the local roads were not really plowed for the most part, yes. I think so. I was on Pond Path at 7:30, and it was a mess," Tracey Cicale wrote.
