Sports Flash: Seawolves Outlast Colgate, Patriots Still Undefeated

Stony Brook 32, Colgate 31: Miguel Maysonet racked up a career-best 198 yards to go with one touchdown and Marcus Coker scored two touchdowns as Stony Brook improved to 3-1. Cedrick Moore made nine tackles – including one that saved the game for Stony Brook. Coach Chuck Priore on the game: "The biggest thing was not having a hangover after the Syracuse game. Good teams and good programs have the ability to overcome adversity."
Ward Melville 42, Central Islip 18: Jake Biro totaled 300 yards with four touchdowns for the Patriots, who are now 3-0 for the first time since 1977 according to MSG Varsity. On the defensive end, Matt Corrie had 13 tackles and Brendan Simpson added three tackles and an interception.
Mt. Sinai 36, Stony Brook School 6: Don Liotine totaled 169 yards on 22 carries as the Bears fell to 2-1 on the season.
