Festival, now in its 18th year, opens Thursday.

The curtain rises on the 18th annual Stony Brook Film Festival on Thursday, with a lineup that includes a feature-length film and glitzy opening night party.

Zaytoun (110 minutes – East Coast premiere)Produced by Gareth Unwin, who also produced The King's Speech, Zaytoun tells "a story of survival, reconciliation and friendship" set in the 1982 Lebanese war. Starring Stephen Dorff, Abdallah El Akal, Alice Taglioni and Loai Nofi. In English, Hebrew and Arabic with subtitles. Watch the trailer here.
