- Emma Clark Memorial Library features a reading summer program for kids and teens. "Oceans of Possibilities" will have its registration open on June 1. Kids from birth to grade 12 are welcome to participate and win prizes! (ECML)
- Three Village Historical Society will host a Tri-Spy Bike Tour on May 18 from 10 a.m. until noon. Local educator Margo Arceri will guide participants into the British and Patriots' history in the area. Tickets are $25 per person. (TVHS)
- Save the date for the Stony Brook Fire Department Cornhole Tournament! The event is scheduled for Saturday, June 4, featuring prizes, raffles, family activities, unlimited hot dogs, burgers, beer, and soda. (Patch)
- The Jazz Loft will celebrate six years of music and education! Back in 2014, friends Tom Manuel and Ray Anderson wanted to create a place where jazz musicians would perform their art, and then The Jazz Loft came into reality. Located at 275 Christian Ave. in Stony Brook, the venue has been the main stage on Long Island for all levels of jazz lovers. - Suffolk Police are asking for the public's help to identify and locate a man who tried to break into the Celtic Crossing Tavern in Kings Park on May 10. The security system caught the action at 3:15 a.m. showing the suspect trying to break the door with a shovel. Anyone with information, please call 1-800-220-TIPS. (Daily Voice)
