  1. The Three Village Electric Parade Committee is lighting up the holidays with the annual Three Village Electric Parade. The Electric Parade is “ON”. This year the holiday floats will light up main street. Come see a spectacular display of dazzling lights, holiday themes, and of course, Santa! Families, schools, clubs, teams, businesses, and organizations are all welcome to make this year the best year yet! Show your enthusiasm and creativity to spread holiday cheer and lift local spirits by joining the festivities!   2. Mis/Communication is on exhibit at the Zuccaire Gallery. The exhibit features video, sculpture, print, and interactive media artworks by contemporary artists who explore the power of language in a cultural context. The exhibition considers spoken and written language as defined by national or cultural linguistic traditions like Korean, Spanish and Portuguese, but also performative body language, “academic speak”, and Artificial Intelligence’s voice recognition program. A Long Island police officer, who spent one month recuperating from critical injuries he suffered from an alleged drunk driver, is expected to be home for Christmas, his chief surgeon said at a news conference at Stony Brook Hospital Medical Center on Friday. Suffolk Officer Timothy Thrane was cheered with a round of applause by hundreds of fellow officers and supporters, as he was wheeled out of the hospital by a team of paramedics. (Three Village Patch)
  4. Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to locate a Centereach woman who was reported missing on Dec. 2. Melissa Molinari was last seen at her residence, located on Lolly Lane on Nov. 21. Molinari was reported missing yesterday. She left her vehicle at home. (smithtownmatters.com)
