- Long Island Museum will keep the weekend filled with art and entertainment with the exhibition "Two Centuries of Long Island Women Artists" on Saturday, May 28. The museum is located at 1200 Route 25A in Stony Brook, and visitations will be open to the public at noon. (AARP)
- Cheers to Ward Melville High School senior Riley Meckley, who won a $50,000 scholarship from the nationwide WHOOPER program created by Burger King! Meckley is considered a hardworking student by her teachers and has been involved with the community, volunteering at events. Congratulations, Riley! (TVSD)
- Art instructor Tom Brydelsky will host a six-student capacity workshop at Gallery North about encaustic painting on May 29 and June 12. If you want to learn and practice this ancient technique, register here! (Patch)
