Three Village Students Create 3D-Printed Keychains

Minnesauke Elementary School brought their designs to life using the library's 3D printer.

Fifth graders at Minnesauke Elementary School in the Three Village Central School District are taking home keychains they created from start to finish with the school library’s 3D printer. Students first used the software, Tinkercad to design their keychains – many of which were cut-outs of their names and phrases. Then, they put their designs to the test and printed out the products.

3D printing encourages STEM learning during the fifth graders’ library time, while also promoting creativity and hands-on learning. Students were excited to engage in this activity and create a product they could take home.
