It's a busy weekend in Three Village, with a number of outdoor events, family friendly activities, and plenty of ways to appreciate the arts. Here's a rundown of some of the weekend's highlights:
School & Community
- W.S. Mount, Minnesauke, and Nassakeag elementary schools will sponsor their respective PTA Harvest Festivals on Saturday at noon.
- On Sunday, check out the annual Apple Festival at the Sherwood-Jayne Farm in East Setauket.
- There are only a few weeks left to check out the Stony Brook Grist Mill before it closes for the season.
Children & Family

- Join the fun at "Lego Club," a free event for ages 5 to 10 at Emma S. Clark Memorial Library at 6:30 p.m.
- Along the same lines, the Ward Melville Heritage Organization is offering its "Building Blocks" workshop for families on Sunday at 2 p.m. Registration by 5 p.m. Friday is required.
Sports & Recreation
- Celebrate Homecoming at Stony Brook University. They call it "Wolfstock," and it consists of a huge backyard BBQ party at 3 p.m., followed by the football game against Colgate at 6 p.m.
- Support the Ward Melville girls' tennis team in their game against Bayport-Blue Point at 4:15, or watch the boys' varsity soccer team in action against Longwood at 4:15.
- Adults can learn how to make pickled vegetables at a 10 a.m. workshop on Saturday at Benner's Farm.
Theater & Arts

- an award-winning play by Sarah Ruhl, continues its run at the Staller Center from Friday to Sunday.
- an exhibit of local artists' paintings, continues at Gallery North.

- Check out an a capella variety show from the Harbormen's Chorus at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship at Stony Brook on Saturday night.
- The Claudia Jacobs Band performs a free show at Frank Melville Memorial Park on Sunday at 5 p.m.
