  1. The Zuccaire Gallery Art features the new exhibit "Connecting the Drops: The Power of Water." The artwork spreads the message of environmental justice and how water is crucial for life. The show opens on Monday, Oct. 3, from noon to 4 p.m. at 100 Nicolls Rd, in Stony Brook. (Stony Brook University)
  2. The Night of the Stars Fundraiser kicks off on Saturday, Oct. 1, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Olde Towne Gardens. Singer Lou Lomangino of the Southbound will perform live at the event. Tickets are $10 per person, which includes five tickets for a raffle. (Patch)
  3. Drop in at noon on Wednesday at the Emma Clark Library to the "Film at Noon: The Children Act." The movie duration is 106 minutes, and will be screened in the Community Room. (Emma Clark Library)
